Getting from Taoyuan International Airport to the conference hotel

• Take a taxi. It is the fast way (about 45 minutes) and runs according to meter, and will cost around 1400 New Taiwan dollars (NT$1400 is about 45 USD or 25 EUR). You will need Taiwanese money. Show the taxi driver the following paragraph (choose "Chinese Big5" encoding if you have trouble printing)

• Public Transportation option 1:
  Take a shuttle bus (30 New Taiwan Dollars, NT$30 is about 1 USD) to the High Speed Rail station (15mins), then a high speed rail train to Taipei Main Station (20mins onboard, runs at XX:16 and XX:40 from 8 AM to 11PM, NT$160, about 5.5 USD or 4 EUR), then Taipei's Metro Rapid Transit to Taipower Building station (take the MRT exit as you exit High Speed Rail Link, the fare is around NT$30 or 1 USD), then you take Exit No. 2, turn left outside station and walk along Xinhai Road to Xinsheng South Road and turn left to (10-15 minutes' walk) the Howard Plaza International House.

• Public Transportation option 2:
  Take King (Kuo-Kuang) express Bus to Taipei's city airport (Songshan, or TSA) which takes 50 minutes. In the morning there are buses every 25 minutes, between 11am and 11pm buses run every 20 minutes (at 5, 25 and 45 minutes past every full hour), starting at Terminal 1 and stopping at Terminal 2. The 1-way fare is NT$125 or about 4 USD or 3 EUR. Take a taxi from there for another NT$200.
